My Radio Interview on CJSF

I had a conversation with Brady Ehler from CJSF campus radio at Simon Fraser University a couple weeks back, and we’ve finally posted the interview for everyone to listen to.

LISTEN TO IT ON MY FILM'S WEBSITE.

The topic of the film and it’s production is discussed in detail, with Brady contributing of his own really interesting insights into the motivations for apathy among young adults.

Of interest to all you filmmakers, media enthusiasts, and do-it-yourself artists out there, there is a very lively and interesting exchange of ideas on the subject of media democratization. Enjoy!

The Age of Rockets Using Kickstarter to Fund Ambitious New Record

One of my recent favourite bands is embarking on an incredibly ambitious new record. I am backing this innovative approach because I admire these artist's attempt to try something different, and I highly encourage anyone interested in truly independent music, and independent media of any kind, to look into this project.

Generation WHY: A Whole Scene Released Online

I’ve posted an entire scene from the film online for your viewing pleasure. In this clip our three main characters; John, Mike, and Cody, have finished work and their classes for the day and have met up to go to John's house. On the drive there, Mike and Cody share their feelings of frustration towards their situations at work and school, and their inability to do anything about it. John listens sympathetically, but also is irritated that the world seems to be pissing on his friends. This is scene is about 15 minutes into the film.

We want to hear your thoughts on the ideas discussed in this scene. Is this something you can relate to? Why or why not? Rate the video, comment on it, and share it with your friends on:
YouTube, Vimeo, MySpace, BlipTV, and Facebook.

The Independent Critic: “Nicely blends dry, witty humor with light drama and rather serious social insights into a heartfelt, intelligent story.”

Real Life Generation Why

Our first in a series of non-fiction compliments to the narrative feature film, that we are calling Real Life Generation Why, has been released!

These mini interviews will feature young adults talking about how they’ve tried to get things sorted out in their own lives. Successes, failures, insecurities, philosophies, words to live by, tune in to hear it all. Unscripted, raw, and honest.

In this first installment, Kayla Glynn (20 years old) shares her experiences after high school deciding what to do, making the decision, changing her mind, and eventually dropping out of university. Don't be surprised if some of the things she says sound very familiar.

Get in on the conversation. Post a response.
